Pocket Anatomy was created in 2009 by eMedia (Ireland) and is a range of medical education applications for mobile devices such as the iPhone. One of its apps is “Pocket Heart”, which visualises how the human heart works in 3D. It features an animated and interactive 3D model of the heart with all of it component parts labelled and detailed. You can discover how each component part works itself and in relation to the rest of the organ, you can manipulate the 3D images and you can test yourself with quizzes.
